Marybeth always
woke before the alarm. She still had time after it started, of course, but the
claxon gave her a headache, which made it really hard to engage in the kind of
positive thinking she needed. But once she trained herself to wake up earlier,
she could have a few minutes of peace and quiet to think of something – just one
thing – that would be good enough to keep them from destroying Earth for
another day…
