While coloring it in my favorite coloring app “Happy Color”, I thought about the source and cost of magic. I’ve seen this evolve over the years, as authors move past the “hand-wavium” abilities of magic to serious consideration within their stories’ world-building of how the magic would *actually* work. And the consensus is that magic is some sort of energy causing change to mass in the material world—and that energy has to be generated *somehow* by *something*. Physics, y’all 😉
